Looks pretty good, although I wish it wasn't so dark. And the song choice was pretty terrible. Other than that, it looks great. Nice super-speed effect and I love that Barry is excited while Oliver is reserved.

Love. Love. Love. Love. Love everything...except they kinda over did on the arrow effects and sounds, but that is coming from someone who has watched this about 50 times. The song at first rubbed me a bit wrong, but again 50 times. In this re-watching I've noticed that the stripes on Barry's suit actually light up, along with the fact that he ran to the other side of the arrow (going from entering on the left side to running on the right side of the arrow) and has time to stop and position himself to catch the arrow.
Best part however is the slight hint at the 3 Seasons that Arrow has (the 3 arrows) verses the Flash fresh start. It comes off as a small competition between not just the shows, but the characters themselves.
Sad thing, I'm already hearing (reading more like) about how it measures up against JWS's the Flash from the early 1990s rather than just appreciating it for itself.

I think those comparisons are inevitable. For one thing, the JWS Flash series is really the only other live-action version of The Flash that people are familiar with so they will definitely compare the two. It happens with every superhero franchise. When Zach Snyder revealed the first look at Ben Affleck as Batman yesterday every comic book or movie website had to compare/contrast is it with the other Batman costumes seen in previous movies. Its just what fans/geeks do: we over analyze everything.

Though surprisingly, the most hate seems to come from people whose shows were canceled. Lots of hate in the tube comments from those folks.

Barry was a bit more outgoing than I was expecting. I wonder if they are planning on making this Barry more of a Barry-Wally hybrid.

I didn't like it (you'll learn I like to go agaisnt the general opinnion). I think it was because I was expecting something else at all. I was expecting a Flash promo for real, not a promo where 90% of the screentime is the Arrow all over again.

Maybe at the upfronts we'll see it?

Well, it was more a little promo stuff they shot to promote both shows and give a little push to The Flash thanks to the Arrow, but the real Flash Trailer, we'll see it soon ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I liked it, tho. I think i'm going to love Barry's personality and if there are crossovers, i'm excited to see the relationship between him and Oliver, i like the little bit we can see of it in this promo ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Give me my Bromance!!! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Love how they did the speed... the special effects, the lightnings, the trail... it looks great and i think they nailed it compared to the comics. I wish the suit was brighter. Not a "flashy" red because i don't think it will look good on tv, but yeah something just a little bit more "redish". It does look too "baggy" too, it's a bit distracting ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Barry was a bit more outgoing than I was expecting. I wonder if they are planning on making this Barry more of a Barry-Wally hybrid. It wouldn't be surprising given Grant Gustin's age. He's fairly young (early 20s?) whereas Barry in the comics is probably late 20s to early 30s. Wally was always the Flash with the more outgoing personality, which would be a big contrast from the way Oliver Queen is portrayed in Arrow. Regarding Arrow being such a big part of the promo: this is a spin-off of his show, and I think by putting the two of them in the promo together it shows (hints at) that we'll be seeing them crossover into each other's TV series. With all the hype for Superman vs. Batman (or whatever it will be called) it makes sense that they would do an Arrow/Flash crossover at some point in Flash's first year on the air to get some attention for both shows. Don't be surprised if they hint at a possible TV version of Justice League either (Arrow, The Flash, Black Canary, possibly a few other characters). So far they've only shot the pilot and I've heard that some re-shoots were necessary, so they may be waiting a bit before putting out a full trailer. They might even wait until they've shot at least another episode or two just to have more footage to show off.
